Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of ShipCalc.
Last updated: 2026-10-15
By accessing or using ShipCalc (“ShipCalc”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the website.
1. What ShipCalc provides
ShipCalc is a free, browser-based utility that helps you estimate package volume, dimensional weight, billable weight, and shipping-related costs using values you enter. ShipCalc is an informational planning tool. It is not a carrier, freight broker, shipping agency, or payment processor.
2. No official carrier quotes
Results generated by ShipCalc are estimates only. They are not official carrier quotes, negotiated account rates, bookable labels, customs determinations, or guarantees of final delivery charges. Actual charges may differ because of carrier rounding rules, minimum billable weights, fuel surcharges, residential or remote-area fees, service selection, destination, dimensional divisor differences, and other factors.
Always confirm final pricing and service eligibility with your carrier or authorized shipping platform before purchasing labels or charging customers. See also our Disclaimer.
3. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate dimensions, weights, divisors, and rate inputs.
- Verify carrier-specific rules that apply to your shipment and account.
- Ensure your use of ShipCalc complies with applicable laws and carrier terms.
- Do not rely on ShipCalc as the sole basis for commercial, tax, customs, or financial decisions.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to disrupt, scrape abusively, overload, or reverse engineer the service except as permitted by law.
- Use ShipCalc to facilitate fraud, deceptive shipping practices, or other unlawful activity.
- Misrepresent ShipCalc results as official carrier pricing or as an endorsement by any carrier.
- Interfere with advertising, analytics, or security systems that may be present on the site.
5. Intellectual property
The ShipCalc name, branding, website design, original text, and software implementation are owned by us or our licensors. You may use the public website for personal or internal business planning. You may not copy the site for competing republication, remove proprietary notices, or frame the service in a misleading way without permission.
6. Third-party services
The website may rely on third-party hosting, font delivery, analytics, or advertising providers. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. ShipCalc is not responsible for third-party websites or services you choose to use after leaving ShipCalc.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
ShipCalc is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that calculations will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for every carrier scenario.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShipCalc and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, shipping losses, customer disputes, or business interruption arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service—even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the service in the three months before the claim (if any) or (b) USD $50.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ShipCalc and its operators from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the service, your shipment decisions, or your violation of these Terms.
10. Privacy
Our collection and use of information is described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to the service or terms
We may update ShipCalc features or these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we revise this page. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the operator’s primary place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction require otherwise. If a court finds any provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
